movie night?

Just got me hands on a studio copy of Shaun of the Dead we wont tell what laws I had broken in my honor, along with Ju'on thats the original Grudge by the same director but Japanese version, and Battle Royale a Japanese gore movie if anyone wants to create an impromptu movie night soon....also have access to a studio copy of Saw.

i never got to see shaun of the dead (downloaded it though..)
the only way i would watch the grudge is if it had the whole japanese thing going on..., ive been wanting to see battle royale on word of mouth advice from friends... and Saw looks fuckin incredible..

That sounds like quite an interesting lineup, would make for a memorable experience I'm sure.. Would the movie night be open to anyone? I suppose it's probably not the best idea to collect even "donations" for all the effort you've gone through

(Or gotten others to go through for you, always the better way

But I'd certainly be interested in attending if possible.

saw had a good plot but the acting and the dialogue made me laugh out loud it got so cheesey at times. I am glad I didnt see it in a theatre I for sure would have gotten kicked out!

The Ju'on I have will have subtitles its the original Japanese version same with B.R.

Battle Royale is FANTASTIC. You got your hands on some great movies. Thanks for the heads up on SAW. I was hoping for some no hold barred horror. If you see Haute Tension (France) come your way, that is supposed to be some very nasty shit. I'm trying to get a bootleg copy of it, but so far every copy I have seen is PAL format.

yeah I have a copy of that....the uncut version.....I got goooooood friends....

Upcominghorrorfilms.com has links where you can get reg.0 euro copies of Shaun of the Dead and Haute Tension,I have both and they're both great(Aja is really one to watch).HKfilms.com(english site) has some great flicks as well.I highly suggest New Blood,Seance,Tale of Twin Sisters(due for American remake),Doppelganger(Versus director's 2nd film),and Miike's latest Gozu or One Missed Call(my personal fave til' I see The Machinist,but then I think Takashi is one of if not the best in the biz).Dead End with Ray Wise is one of the better festival flicks i've seen this year.
