David Bowie has a children's book coming out.

Taken from http://www.bowiewonderworld.com

An exciting new book due for publication on April 24th is MUSICAL STORYLAND. It's a children's book that includes a cd with 10 songs written and performed by none other than David Bowie. The sing-along book with musical disc features words and music by David Bowie with Illustrations by Jamilla Naji.

Musical Storyland translates the spoken word to the written word through enchanting and unique song lyrics. The mysterious and sometimes zany characters in music written and performed by David Bowie make a reading-along and singing-along exciting. The incredible themes, catchy tunes and exceptional artwork captivate young audiences. This book and musical disc package provide a source of healthy and exciting educational entertainment.

Why does it seem like a bad idea to me to put the words "Slap that baby, make him free" in a children's book?

Damnit, something else to buy for my Bowie collection. doesn't the man have enough of my money after 20+ albums, his films, the countless out of state excursions to god-priced concerts... plus that crappy computer game he tricked me into buying by singing the theme song??? haha

all kidding aside, it should be interesting. It's Bowie.
