Ok, here's my two cents. I'm an Industrial junkie. So, Marilyn Manson, really brought me into that. I've been a fan of his work since I first heard his version of "Sweet Dreams". Is Antichrist Superstar a masterpiece? Yes. Here's why. Like all other albums that have come along, that where concidered "masterful", it has cohesion. By these terms, all of his albums are masterful. I'm not up Manson's ass by any means, but for this simple fact, that's my opinion. My favorite band is BILE. Sure call me "goth-inclinded". That's fine with me. I would be offened to be called "goth", just as any old-school punk would be offened to be called a punk. Goth was actually started in the '70's, with the rise of the UK punk upheaval. I have been called a "baby-bat", which pisses me off like no other, because "Who told you I was trying?". Sure I wear black clothes. Does that make Priests goth? Sure I like Bile. So does sic_fuck's 10 year old sisters. I like Alien Sex Fiend. So Fucking What. People can divide the subcultures as much as they want, but soon, we will have nothing left but a large amount of individuals, which will bring us full circle. People, everything evolves. Music, fashion, & hence Cultures. Also, about the racists, why wasn't Ministry mentioned. They are self-proclaiming skinheads. Sure it's industrial, but still... Sorry if none of that made any sense. I agree with sic_fuck...hate people because they are people!

Just wanted to throw in a couple of clams, since everyone else has given their $0.02 ...

We're all allowed our own prejudices. Myself, I hate stupid people, and go out of my way to treat them like crap.
When all is said and done, everyone is entitled to their own musical inclinations. Personally, I think it's stupid to limit oneself to a single genre, whether it be music or anything else. If you do this, well, see #1.
The "Mansonites": A great deal of them fall into the "idiot" category. For that matter, so do a lot of goths, rivetheads, emo kids, ravers, rock'n'rollers, and so on. Again, see #1.
This thread is silly. No, we can't all get along. But we can all at least try to be mature, and ignore the fuck out of each other.

I never said anything bad about Ministry, but as far as Nazis, I think they should fall in your category #1. Blind prejudice, not ok.categorizedd, unbias, & well founded prejudice, ok! As far as music goes, I'm an Industrial junkie, but for the last week I've been listening to Lisa Loeb (come on you CAN give me shit for that, I expect it). I never said that Manson is great, but his albums are better than most music, that's all.
