Knox-villainy OR Nashville Thanks You

Post by BlackCat »

I personally must send thanks to all the Knox-villains that came out last night to club NV. The fun that was had by me personally was long over due. I look forward to trying to make it down to Knoxville again to visit and will try for the Sept. 27th run.

Be safe,
Kitten

Arrr, let me tell ye, a Knox Pirate Raid be filled with danger, intrepidness and high adventure...
...avoids the story of the parking nightmare...
So NV was a blast, we lifted the flag for KnoxGoth, and showed them true pirate-ness as we danced and drinked and partied with NashGoth, thanks to Jimmy and BlackCat and everyone else for having us...but now, let the tale of high adventure begin...
Bear leaves a bit early back to the hotel, so Ibbie grabs a half full glass of wine and gulps it all down. SirDiddimus looks shocked, he should, it was his glass of wine...
...I'm standing outside chatting with U2bonoluv and Ibbie wobbily speeds off after Bear. A few minutes later he wibbles in from the opposite direction and grabs me and says I'm Lost! Where's the hotel?"...
...Amusingly enough he had been playing with his pocket knife while walking around the block, he cuts through the alley and corners this one person and asks them Where's the bloody Courtyard?" (our hotel) The frightened pedestrian cowers and offers Ibbie his wallet. Now our intrepid mugger Ibbie declines the wallet and asks for directions to the courtyand, the poor victim deinies knowledge and Ibbie walks off...
...So I walk Ibbie to the hotel room and head back to NV, I didn't stay much longer and we headed back to the room and crashed...

I'll leave the tale of the rest of the adventure for others to tell, for it be a rousing tale indeed...

Yeah, well the rest of the story is about Villainy of Nashville kids......

Mo, Abby, and I left the club at close. We walked back to the car to discover the passenger side window smashed to pieces. All of our bags were gone..... The reason we think it was kids was that my CD player was still sitting there. The idiot had unplugged the power, but the tape deck is electric. The car's power had to be on to eject the tape, so like good little idiots, they didn't think to simply unplug the tape from the CD player.
The next hour or so was spent standing in the parking with the police while phone calls were made to banks and insurance companies. Luckily, the idiots didn't check the slot on the door which is where my cell-phone was resting.
A big Thank You goes out to Bone, Shadow Dancer, Vader, and Thrall for letting us crash in their hotel rooms. And Thanks to Butch of Nashvegas for sticking around to make sure everything we were Ok.

Oh, and sunlight and black pleather pants don't mix!!!! The bastards had only gotten my keys and my clothes! I can replace them all, but it was just so very inconvenient. My car key has been made already by AAA. Bear and Ibbie are off to get a copy of his house key for me. I'm not sure how UT will feel about the whole thing, but I'll still need to get copies of those keys.

I will let the others tell you more.

My first pirate raid may have very well been my last... :-?

All went so well up until the shattered window & discovery of lost valuables. We were very concerned at first when Abby thought they had taken her insulin. We were relieved when she found it in her puse. I'm still kicking myself for leaving my purse in the car!

The irony was that we were parked in a large, well lit parking lot directly in front of the court house... ah, blind justice!

The club was very pretty, lots of nice people to talk to, & Bone did a great job, as usual. Much thanks to him, Shadow Dancer, Vader, & Thrall. Your generosity was very greatly appreciated!

Now I've got much work to do replacing what was taken. That's not an impossible feat, but irritating nonetheless. Apologies again to Sir D & Abby. I'll try to get you guys reimbursed as quickly as possible.

As for Nashville, it was a lovely city, & I'm sure it could have just as easily happened here, but I'll just say that I won't be in a big hurry to go anywhere at all for a while.

It's nice to be home!

I'm sorry about your van being broken into. It's definately not a good trip when that happens.Hell, when happens anywhere.I've had mine broken into twice.First time @ work in parking lot, second in front of my house. And yes it sucks,no matter where it happens.Makes me pissed, wish i could of caught them in the act.Great then i'd be up on murder charges. Two things i hate most a thief, and a liar.

Aside from the Mo's van getting broken into and the involving issues, this was one of the more entertaining Pirate raids on Nashville I have been on.
I don't remember having quite so many giggles in one trip. NV was jamming with dark & spookies (along with a few ravers). Butches flashing everyone while highstepping to Friggin in the riggin (along with his skirt over Capt BlueBeards head lap dance, to the cheers that rang from from the dance floor while the Pirate flag was waved from the stage During a U2 song  the Nashville crew seemed pleased to have our band of pirates aboard for the party was great seeing everyone out there... (the list WAY too long to write)
Have to say the day after recap at a pizza shop for provisions beforethe treck home began gave way to lotsa laughes from our little "drama" of goths. (fried cuthullu was devine)

Thanks for the support all who came along for the raid! And if we ever catch the thieves who dared break into Mo's Van, I say walking the plank will be too good for em!

Glad to hear everyone had fun, and definitely sorry about the band.

I haven't put an appearance in with the Nashville group in awhile, and I live there....so you (and the request of my darling) are the primary reasons I made it out.

I can not find the words to express how I feel for you Sir Diddimus and Mother Mo. How unfortunate that an otherwise fun night turned out to be a nightmare for you. My heart goes out to you knowing that you have had your personal belongings taken and the financial and emotional damage that takes its toll on you as victims of such a crime. :-(

Several friends have had similar acts of vandalism happen to their car in recent years while parked for one of our club nights. Personally, I have been mugged once on a club night and once elsewhere with my purse being stolen each time. I know the drill of calling the police, filing a police report, calling the bank, calling the credit card company, etc. and having to replace my driver's license. Unfortunately this sort of thing happens much too often in this town.

Several of us have learned the hard way how to take certain precautionary measures regarding parking for the club. One of them being to never leave anything of importance in the car, and secondly, to park in the attended garage the next block down from the club. The few dollars spent on parking is less expensive than a smashed window and stolen valuables. So far everyone that has parked in this garage has had good results in the prevention of vandalism to their cars.

I am glad I got to see the Vampirates again
, although the visit is a bitter-sweet one. Thank you for coming out. And thank you DJ Bone for playing a great set.

Oh, don't worry. This will not sway me from returning to Nashville. I may be going to visit a long time friend the weekend of the 20th. I will try to make it out to Asylum. If I can get away from my friends for a few hours. I'll just have to wait and see. It will help if they can get their liquor license by then. I have to have my wine. ;)
