Three kids are being convicted of murder on the basis that they wear black, listen to death metal and study wicca with no evidence agianst them in arkansas. We need something to fight instead of each other. Even if it is just bringing this topic to life it helps.

Heh...HBO did a special on this case, just in case you want to watch a documentary about it. I don't remember the name of it right offhand. I won't say it was a fair account of what happened...definitely leaned in their defense. I'm a bit undecided on how I feel about the whole thing as I tend to be a bit skeptical about anything that one-sided, particularly since the one guy is on death row (which usually indicates several appeals). I like to think at least one juror in AK has enough intelligence and scrupples to hang the jury, but if it gets your goat....then make your feelings known. Personally I'm against the death penalty in all it's forms, but that's not the issue here.

Also remember that that site was done by an advocacy groups and all information may not be completely accurate and information that *may* change your mind could be left out. Just some food for thought.

It's great to see more people getting into this cause!

The documentaries are called Paradise Lost. There are two. I have them both, if anyone is interested.

There are a few books out on this case, and there is one that seems TOTALLY unbiased to me. It's full of facts. It visits every aspect of the case. It's called Devils Knot: the true story of the west memphis three, by Mara Leveritt. I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in this case.

It seems that alot more people are able to hear about it since Henry Rollins started doing stuff for them. Gotta love that man! I have even seen commercials.

It is a shame. Innocent people are CONSTANTLY put on death row. I know, my uncle is there.

Another thing, you have to admit after watching both documentaries that the people involved with the prosecution, and the judge were fucking judgemental idiots. It was horrible.

I can relate. Shit like this *DOES* happen. Hell, I was kicked out of school, because my principal and one of my teachers thought I was a satanist. The teacher even thought I killed her father with some sort of psychic powers or some shit. WTF? Just because I wore black, and listened to metal music. I was different. Oh, and lets not forget the skull ring I wore. It was a satanic symbol. I was forbidden to bring it back on school property. LOL. Idiots. Small towns just seem to have that mentality.

Cool... I've been looking for a way to get involved with this for a while. I've seen the films and and needless to say, these 3 being on death row or in prison peroid is complete bullshit... Everyone can do something to help I'm sure...

The fact that the confessions were procured by a mentally retarded kid after 12 hours in a room with a base ball bat but only 4 hours were recorded makes me wonder about the way this investigation was taken care of. even if they HAPPEN to be guilty, they still disserve the truth to come out in its entirety.
