I came up with the idea to write a book, "It weighs heavy on my heart". I need short stories explaining something that has occured in life that is seems to be hard to either forgive or get forgiveness for, something you regret. Only age and sex will be noted in the book unless you prefer to have that omitted as well. The idea is that it is not only healing to get out something you hold inside, that you have no one to whom you want to know about, and it is also healing to realize other people are the same as you, everyone is haunted by something. The firemen came and broke through the chimney top. And me and Mom were expecting them to pull out a dead cat or a bird. And instead they pulled out my father. He was dressed in a Santa Claus suit. He'd been climbing down the chimney... his arms loaded with presents. He was gonna surprise us. He slipped and broke his neck. He died instantly. And that's how I found out there was no Santa Claus.
