What do you mean, you don't take candy from strangers?

Seriously, you need to treat yourself. Every time you get the urge, take the money you'd typically spend on a pack or a carton and put it in a jar. Something visible where you can watch the cash pile up. Then use that to get something you really want. You'll be surprised to see how quickly it adds up! The price of one carton will buy you 3 cd's, for example.

Hope your first day is going great!

No, it's not that, lol... I don't suspect you would poison the pie or anything, haha ;-) ... I just don't have a way out right now...

That's a good idea though... i'll probably end up spending the reward $ on a much-needed trip to the eye doctor, lol...

So far, 11 hours, 45 minutes... (I downloaded a quit counter :-) )
I'm really doing it... no exceptions... I can definitely say my brain doesn't remember how to function correctly without nicotine though, and since I didn't smoke when I woke up i'm still somewhat asleep... so I think that's about it for this post, lol...

1 day, 10 hours, 42 minutes ... haha

(you can get a cute, customizable quit meter for your webpage... nope, myspace sucks, you can't add it on there, not even on the blog... but you can most anywhere else, with the exception of here- it's html... Best counter i've found is quit counter... You can customize the lame-o "Hi, my name is/I have stopped smoking/I've not smoked" shit, and it has a lot more things than most of the quit meters...)

It's easier if you see the addiction what it truly is, an illusion (or at least that helps me... though the withdrawal symptoms are very real, a lot of it is just an illusion, and most of it depends on how you perceive them). The physical withdrawal symptoms (which last about 72 hours) and cravings can get bad, but only as bad as you let em... (I'm not saying that it's by any means "easy", but "positive thinking" is always helpful...) I still feel light-headed though, lol... read an article about how nicotine effects blood sugar, that's one of the reasons people feel that way during the first few days of quitting... It helps to remember that you'll feel a lot better in just a few days. I can't say the same for everyone though. I've quit a lot of times, and the more you quit, the easier it gets. It also definitely helps if you absolutely despise smoking and desperately want it out of your life. If you see cigarettes for what they really are, a crack-like drug that destroys, that's also helpful. So hopefully this time, it'll be for good, not just 7 months. Hey, I can't predict the future, but I can just... not do the shit... lol...

eh, there are smokers, and non-smokers. the rest are just pussies who can't commit.

now, i can't speak for crack, but nicotine isn't half as addictive as heroin. the people who say it is either haven't done heroin, or are really, really weak willed, and can't tell the difference. you ever need money, lean on them. they'll spill cash like a geyser.

now, if you're just smoking for the speedy effect, try some trucker speed (like no-doze, two-ways, stackers, etc). maybe try some xenadrine if that makes you too twitchy. and if any of it makes you too nervous, try washing it down with a lot of jack daniel's. you'll get your kick and relaxation all at the same time.

but hey, your body, your temple. whatever the hell you want to do with it.

myself, i'll leave it up to whim. i've never planned on living forever, anyway. might as well enjoy my time on earth, since i'm not getting off of it alive.
