I'd forgotten about New China Town on Chapman Highway (next to Disc Exchange), but that's an inexpensive place that's good. During one of my veggie periods I discovered that they will replace meat with tofu on every single menu item except Sweet&Sour. And they deliver to my front door. Burrito Diabl...

El Charo is great, but I'm also fond of Senor Taco on Broadway. Great Mexican food and very, very inexpensive.

I agree with the Ali Baba's suggestion too.

We're gonna try Chandler's sometime this week.

I sat in the corner like a stupid shy person who doesn't dance, but I had a great time, and the people I talked to were very nice.

Somebody made a candle sculpture at my table. That was unexpected.

There was no end to Depp's yumminess in this movie. Part of his appeal to me is just the strange beauty of the roles he chooses, and what he does with them.

Then there's the eyes.

I thought this was a terribly boring move. It really didn't do anything for me. Okay, Stuart Townsend lovely ("growl"), and Peta Wilson's character was cool--I loved her imitation of Sean Connery. But the dialogue and plot holes were really irritating. And I usually like Alan Moore a lot, tho I've n...

I absolutely loved this movie. Part of it was that the subject matter is most often treated with disdain, but this movie handled it beautifully. I loved the characters. It's great to hear some Angelo Badalamenti again. What can I say, I felt giddy after watching it, and that doesn't happen very much.

That sounds really cool. Some of the old English and Scottish murder ballads are both brutal and surreal (Long Lankin, for example), and I've always had a strange fascination for this kind of thing.

Yeah, collecting the supplies a little at a time is the only way. But once you have them, it's like "Oh, mother's day gift, birthday gift"... I like making gifts for people. And the selfish practical side of me likes not shopping for gifts.

I love making soap. Plus you can give it whatever scents you want, which is nice. I use melt and pour because I'm not so much into the "rendering sheep tallow" thing, and I like the shea butter stuff anyway. Lately I've been trying the color-blending thing, where you have two containers of soap cool...

I'm in a four-person linear poly relationship. It's not always easy, since you multiply the difficulties of relationships several times, but there are advantages. Sometimes I see people trying to mold their SO into different things, when that person might be better off accepting the SO for who they ...

One night Lee Greenwood performed in the World's Fair Park, back when people did that sort of thing. I found out when I was being dropped off after a long night of guinness, so there I was, lying in bed in Maplehurst and listening to every song because I had no choice. So my most hated song would be...

Sun in Aquarius, Moon in Pisces, Sagittarius Ascendant: You're a little detached from things like people, earth, and your body, and your mind is a strange thing. But that's okay, because you'll just bend yourself to adapt to whatever's happening around you. You want to do things, but end up just thi...

new and shiny and stuff

Hello... I've been wandering around here for a while, but somebody was telling me today that I should say something. She also said I should come to Sanctus even though rooms where people are dancing scare me... but as fears go, that's a small one.

So hello...
