wow. i cant say enough good things about this movie. its from director Alfonso Cuarón (Y tu mamá también) and stars clive owen. this film has some of the most bold and daring sequences i've ever seen in a movie. It's one of those rare flicks that remind me why films are so important.

they were so bad ass... and they played forever. the jeep song is my favorite of their tunes so it was pretty neat to be able to get onstage and sing some "ba-de-ba-ba-ba's" and "do-do-do's"

This has been a really good few months to own a dvd player if you are into modern noir. Two of my favorites have come out recently (brick and Kiss, Kiss, Bang, Bang) and now i can add a third. he was a crazy SOB but this is a dude who rubbed elbows with death everyday and still had the stones to get out there and educate and entertain millions of people. courage and passion like that is pretty rare. its a sad thing.

I saw Crank the other day and it could be the coolest popcorn flick ive seen in a while. It probably didnt hurt that i saw "Lady in the water" on the same day. (which wasnt as bad as everyone says IMO.) but yeah, Crank is a hell of a good time.
