What is wrong with discussing anything that so obviously has people interested? Next time any of you are in Nashville I can arrange for you to meet a few old punks that would happily discuss this at length, then punch you in the face for fun if you'd like. But seriously, I was referring to the Dolls...

Coor, I don't know why you think you would get banned or censured for anything that's your opinion. That's just freaking weird. Since Neph is asleep I'll answer instead. 7 Seconds were seminal in the Cali-Punk movement, as well as being one of the longest lived punk bands ever. If you listened to th...

I would have to agree with Neph there, and would like to add one thing. There is a reason people still listen to the bands he mentioned. That's saying quite a bit considering we are talking 30+ years ago for some of them. They were good at what they did. I am disappointed in a lot of what passes for...

Evil Doer Tour and afterparty
Just a reminder to all you Knox folks. The Evil Doer Tour with Ministry, My Life With the Thrill Kill Kult, and Hanzel und Grety is coming up fast. It's on November 2nd at Municipal Auditorium in Nashville. There will be an afterparty at NV, as well. Hope some of you can make it out here.

Yeah, I love our books. It's nice to work for a company that does do stuff I'd buy for myself.

Also appearing... Nick Bantock, author of Griffin and Sabine. He will be doing a reading from the lastest and last book in the series. I can't say how wonderful Nick is, and talented. If you aren't familiar with the books, please check them out. And yes... I will be there in a professional sense. I'...

Paul,
You are still the utmost gentleman I see. Unfortunately, I am in Nashville... but if there is anything I can do, let me know. KG folks, this guy is one of the best, really.

Surrealist fiction, anyone?
Has anyone here read Julio Cortez (Cronopio and Famas, Final Exam, etc) or Borges? Since they are South American, I find very few people who have. I adore the surrealistic vein... not quite fantasy. Marquez was certianly not the first to dive into that pool, although 100 Years of Solitude is a fanta...

A Moveable Feast is my favorite Hemingway. I'm currently reading The Eyre Affair by Jasper Fford. It's made for bookworms. Incredibly witty. I just read the first two books in a series by Jaqueline Carey, Kushiel's Dart and Kushiel's Chosen. Very good alt. historical with an interesting bdsm twist. ...
