Someone brought up the whole "drink alot've water" thing, and that's really the only route to go besides fruit drinks (REAL fruit) and related shit... that I can think of anyway... even Gatorade n Powerade is "laced" with shit... and I think any soda is bad for you no matter what, whether it has aspartame or not...

Try the water, baby. Since I switched from soda to water, I've lost about 25 lbs. Feel much better too.



Yeah, we all gotta die eventually, but some of this shit makes you feel like hell while you're alive & limits how much living you can do in x amount of time. Acid reflux, various GI issues, diabetes... just not much fun at all, ya know? ;)

i gurantee if i layed off the bongwaters id have no more stomach problems, b ut they are so damn good.....id also quit acosting fellow officers when im off duty, that would probrably be healthier too.............

At the club I drink water. Can't dance that much & sweat that much & survive otherwise. Got a little crazy this weekend & had a sprite! :-x

I've actually just swictched to a vegi diet....some vegan meals....the only evil....shrimp which im actually allergic to...haha At my local Food city there is a frozen brand name amys and they are vegan meals...I was so happy when I found them. I havent been trying to diet so much but in the past 4 weeks ive lost 14 lbs...

Thank you george...oh and when you missed my call the other day I was a Victoria Secret...haha

ive been wanting to loose some weight for WIF 2.5...my target is 25 pounds. My owner would be very pleased, and i would be very pleased with myself.....

I've got to have my sugar. And I hate the taste of plain water. Coke is an easy solution to both problems. :)

The real problem with "organic" foods is that it's generally much less efficient to produce food that way - and if you're concerned about "the environment" you need to take a look at the efficiency of production as well, since less efficient production requires more land under cultivation, and more land under cultivation requires more energy expenditure.

The approval process these days for pesticides used in food production is pretty rigorous, the chemicals used degrade quickly, and remaining amounts wash off easily if you wash your produce.

I don't even do organic if I'm growing it myself - too much loss vs. using a little bit of pesticide.

I' can't stand the taste of the nutrasweet put in diet drinks. Never been able to handle them. When I switched to sweet tea instead of cokes it helped a lot. And I don't mean that bottled crap I mean brewed tea. Now I can say I love my sugar. It's obvious, but my life has only really lacked some good exersize.

try out fructose or xilitol. I drink alot of teas and I really can't tell the different between them, and sugar. especially the fructose.

I quit drinking sugary drinks and caffeine at my doctors recommendation three years ago. I lost weight (not that I was really looking to) and have slept much better since, as well as the symptoms subsiding that I went off it for. I can tell a huge difference when I actualy ingest any substancial amoung of caffeine (I still eat chocolate...I'm not givng that up). I turn into cornholio if I have caffeine. Also, I can tell a big difference if I have something really sugary (i.e. a sugar high, then crashing out). I avoid aspartame because it sometime triggers my asthma attacks (which I rarely have). I occasionally drink something with Splenda, but I am kinda wary of it as it is so new, we really don't know what it does yet. For th emost part I just drink water. You need it anyway, so you might as well. The funny thing is, I have de-aquired a taste for soda and most sweets. Soda and sugary candy are nasty to me now. I will occasionally have a mixed drink with soda, but that's about it. I am no health nut. I eat all kinds of bad stuff. I love processed meat and fried food! Or both at the same time! Corndogs rule! But I try to keep it in moderation. We are all going to die from something. Choose your battles wisely.

I will acknowledge this, there is something to the conspiracy theory about food and our culture. High Fructose Corn Syrup is in all kinds of things, some things that aren't even sweet. It is as addictive as cocaine. Many foods are rdiculously high in fat, especialy fast food. Cults often use a low nutrient high fat, high sugar diet incombination with strategic fasting to aid in the brainwashing of their recruits. Do you know anyone who has been to jail? Ask them sometime what they were fed. I guarantee it was fatty sugary food. It keeps the prisoners docile and lethargic, so they are easy to keep under control. Am I saying our government is plotting to keep us fat, lethargic, and docile for a reason? Maybe. Same thing with all the happy pills beign over prescribed. Yes, some people need them. But there are also lots of people who don't need them getting them prescribed. Is the goverment behind it all? Who knows? Iif they aren't behind it, do you think they are going to do anything to put a stop to it? If you answer yes, you are fooling yourself.

The bottom line, educate your self and make a conscious decision about what you choose to put in your body.You only get one body. Pick your battles.

I don't know about other jails but the one in Crossville, TN feeds NO sugar at all. No caffeine (bastards took away my god given right to drink coffee!), no sugar, no nicotene and horrible food. Cold eggs and bacon in the mornings, Usually fried liver for lunch and a "bagged" dinner...which usually consisted of a bologna sandwich or an egg salad sandwich that was so fuckin horrid that I almost puked just putting it in my mouth. But never any kind of sugar...even our deserts from dinner were sugarless. no chocolate either.
