Looking to sell my '59 Mercury Monterey. My '48 Chevy Fleetmaster is closer to being finished and I would rather have one project finished than two going simultaneously. Body is in good shape with a couple of minor rust spots. Interior is a mess, back seats may be salvageable. Dash needs work too I believe. Glass is intact except for drivers window (gone) passenger window (cracked). The expensive as hell to replace front and rear windows are fine. Electric system, lights, air, etc. work. It runs but I am sure it needs some engine work. I have all the original trim for it as well. Here is a photo of what a '59 Merc looks like, NOTE Mine is NOT in this condition!

Asking $2500 for it, or I would consider a trade if you have something really neat 8)

You have no idea how much I would LOVE to take you up on this, and have a cool project to do with my dad. That car is AWESOME.

Show a pic of your other one, please?

Here's an image of a '48 Fleetmaster

On mine, the front and rear bumpers have been chopped for more of a hot rod look, the engine is red black and chrome, and the air filter had to be rebuilt, and was built into the shape of a coffin sitting over the engine. The seats were burned down to the metal and repadded then covered with hand stitched buffalo hide leather in black, carpets and side doors in blood red. All I need to have mine finished is to have the body aligned then painted and some minor work on the trim and give the engine a tune up since I haven't been driving it. I'd LOVE to see the Mercury done just as much as this one, but the Chevy is much much further along with a lot of money invested 8(.

Since I am not having to sell this car to buy another one for transportation I would be willing to take payments on it, especially since I would love to see it go to someone who would restore it, instead of using it for parts.

I know someone bought it but...I have to as just in case. Is the car still for sale?

Yes it is 8), I got a new position about 2, 2 1/2 weeks ago and haven't had time to post it anywhere else.

Oh, and I found a '59 wagon that would have at least some parts for interior and the number of a guy up in Seveirville who is supposed to be really good and affordable for restoring interiors. The mechanic who is working on my Chevy is also first rate with classic cars, engine and body work.

Okay, some complete dumbass came barreling through my neighborhood today and, lmao, nailed the back end of the Merc on the driver's side. I heard it and went outside thinking he'd hit a neighbor's car but they pointed to mine. I looked at the back end and couldn't see anything wrong. Getting down on my hands and knees I saw a dent that was about 2 or 3 MILLIMETERS deep! Iron hulk one, tin Mitsubishi zero. There were parts of the OTHER car on the sidewalk on the other side of the Merc, probably trashed that guy's car. Damage was almost nothing, but since it DID get hit, akin to Erkle clotheslining the Rock, I am going to lower the price to $1500 to anybody who really wants it from here. Still trying to do $2000 elsewhere since the damage was negligent. I would really love to see the car when it's restored. Hehe, the tailights didn't even break.
